Partners in Mind
Queensland Health (QH) has recently provided funding to the Capricornia Division to support the implementation of the Queensland Framework for Primary Mental Health Care which is referred to as the Partners in Mind (PIM) Framework hereafter, as one of seven ‘demonstration site’ locations across Queensland.

The overall objective of the implementation project is to improve linkages between, and increase capacity of, the  District Mental Health Services (DMHS) and Divisions of General Practice (DGP) in the seven identified demonstration sites, so that they can effectively implement the PIM Framework. Effective implementation of the PIM Framework will lead to improved outcomes for people with a mental illness by working towards the ideal PMHC sector.

A project management group, consisting of GPs and members of the CQ District Mental Health Service, is currently working on an action plan to improve some areas in our current Mental Health care system that could be improved.
