The Rural Primary Health Services (RPHS) program aims to improve access to a range of primary and allied health care services and activities for rural and remote communities. The RPHS program gives community-based primary health care organisations greater flexibility in the range of services they can offer, including health promotion and preventative health activities.
Within the Capricornia Division, this includes people living in the Gladstone and Capricorn Coast areas only.

GP Eligibility
All GPs practicing within the Capricornia Division boundaries can refer eligible patients to the RPHS program.
Patient Eligibility
Patients must reside in the Capricorn Coast and Gladstone areas (postcodes 4703, 4710, 4680, 4694, 4695, 4697 & 4699) to be eligible for services. Patients must also have a current diagnosis of diabetes, and hold a concession card (health, pension, student) to qualify for Allied Health services under the RPHS program in the Capricornia region.
